FAQs General

Q: I’m considering hiring a coach. Where do I start?

A: The process begins with a Complimentary Call. This is where we determine if coach and client are a good fit.

Q: What’s the difference between coaching and advisory/consulting?

A: Coaches are trained to empower clients to make their own decisions.  They will support you in self discovery, help you create a vision, plan for the future and will be your accountability partner while you implement changes. A coach supports you in overcoming limiting beliefs that are holding you back from success.

Consultants are hired to give expert advice in their field and may implement on your behalf.

Both can help you grow tremendously.

Q: What is professional coaching?

A. ICF defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential, which is particularly important in today’s uncertain and complex environment.

Coaches honor the client as the expert in his or her life and work and believe every client is creative, resourceful and whole.

Q. Is there proof coaching works?

A: Yes! The ICF Global Coaching Client Study shows most clients reported improved work performance, better business management, more efficient time management, increased team effectiveness, and more growth and opportunities. The same study found that coaching clients noted greater self-confidence, enhanced relationships, more effective communications skills, better work-and-life balance and an improvement in wellness. Nearly 70 per cent of individuals indicated they had at least made back their initial investment. The median suggests that a client who achieved financial benefit from coaching can typically expect a ROI of more than three times the amount spent.

The survey was conducted by Amy Watson, Principal, PROfusion Public Relations, with survey design assistance by Jackie Rieves Watson, Ph.D., professor of Management and Statistics, Amber University
